Hmmm…

What do you think about this workout.  Do you think it’ll be easy?  Do you think it’ll be hard?  It would be simpler to digest if given a certain rep scheme rather then “Max effort”.  You may wonder what a good score would be, but by know you should also know that it will always vary.  Instead of prescribing a number to the workout, think about the finish line.  How do you want to feel?  How do you want your forearms to feel?  Your legs?  Your explosive strength?  Answering these questions first and aiming for that as a goal will certainly make the number seem less important and not nearly as good a measure of success.

Last day of April…

So now I have some wishes for the month of May:

May it be beach weather soon.  May it be Regionals weekend already.  May you do the Squats unbroken today.  May this workout not last longer than 13 minutes.  May you not forget all of the Snatch skill you learned this month.  May  you learn a much better Clean this month.  May you enjoy the return of Apres CrossFit.  May you take advantage of the mobility that will soon be installed.  May you perform the Baseline this month and then repeat it at the end of the summer.  May you get ready to Run instead of Row.  May your knees and ankles not magically start hurting.
